Exceptional Academies & Programs

In Lewisville ISD, students have several different programs and academies to choose from. Starting at ages three and four, families can apply for the Discovery Academy, a tuition-based pre-kindergarten program currently offered at a handful of campuses where students are met with enriched academics, early STEM, music and fine arts. For the 2018-19 school year, LISD opened it’s first STEM Academy at Donald Elementary, where science and technology exploration are the focus for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. More STEM and Discovery Academies are set to open across the district in the upcoming school years.

Additionally, students in grades nine through 12 will jump-start their college education while fully engaged in the high school experience at The Collegiate Academy at The Colony High School, established in LISD for the 2017-18 school year. At Lewisville High School, students have the opportunity to experience entrepreneurial settings through INCubator, a program modeled after Shark Tank that gives students an idea of business pitches in a collaborative environment.
